B reached our to me to help with kitchen ideas, and specifically asked for tile ideas. Here is B's kitchen: When I first saw these photos, I thought, " OH! Wow! There's a lot of potential there!" I feel like the ceiling and the fireplace are the statement pieces in this space. However, I feel like the lights and dark cabinets are a bit heavy, distracting from those pieces. If the budget allows, I would get new doors for the cabinets. If not, then I would keep them. Either way, painting the cabinets a lighter neutral color would brighten the space and highlight the ceiling. Here is a great photo to use as a launching pad for this kitchen... A few highlights: 1.
